Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the SJL (سجّل) mobile application and website, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service and Target Audience

SJL (سجّل) is an online directory platform designed primarily for parents and individuals searching for educational facilities (schools, nurseries, training centers) and school transport providers in Saudi Arabia.

The service is completely free for users searching - you can search, compare, and view facility information at no cost.

Our services include: facility search, detailed information and locations, facility comparison, ratings and reviews, and location maps.

3. Platform Role and Disclaimer

SJL is a directory and intermediary platform only - we are not an educational facility nor a transport service provider. The facilities and transport providers listed on the platform are independent third parties completely separate from SJL.

  • We do not control the quality or safety of services provided by listed facilities
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information provided by facilities
  • Any contract between you and any facility is directly between you and has no relation to SJL
  • We recommend verifying all information and licenses directly with facilities before making any decision

4. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account using your phone number. You must be 18 years or older to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account and login information
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

5. User Conduct and Prohibited Content

You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The following is expressly prohibited:

  • Submitting false or misleading information about educational facilities
  • Writing fake or misleading reviews
  • Uploading or sharing inappropriate, offensive, or pornographic content
  • Publishing content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination
  • Any content that harms or exploits children in any way
  • Violating the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempting unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Using the platform for fraudulent or illegal purposes
  • Collecting other users' information without permission

6. Child Safety

SJL is committed to protecting children and minors. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for any content or behavior that exploits or harms children. This includes:

  • Prohibition of any content depicting child abuse or exploitation
  • Immediate reporting of suspicious content to relevant authorities
  • Full cooperation with law enforcement in child safety investigations
  • Immediate termination of violating accounts without prior notice

7. Ratings and Reviews

Users can submit ratings and reviews for facilities. When submitting a review:

  • Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience
  • You grant us a non-exclusive license to display and use your review
  • We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these terms
  • Ratings reflect user opinions and do not represent SJL's opinion

8. Content Review and Moderation

SJL reserves the right to review and remove any content uploaded to the platform without prior notice. All images, media, and information submitted by facilities are reviewed before publication. We reserve the right to:

  • Reject any content that does not meet our standards
  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • Report illegal activities to appropriate authorities
  • Cooperate with legal investigations when required

9. Subscriptions and Payments (For Facilities and Service Providers)

Note: Paid subscriptions are for educational facilities and transport service providers who wish to list their services on the platform. Searching and using the platform is completely free for parents and searchers.

Important: All payments are processed outside the app through secure payment gateways on our website. No payments are processed within the iOS or Android applications.

Subscription Plans for Facilities and Transport Providers:

SJL offers four subscription tiers. Detailed pricing and the full feature set for each tier are shown on the subscription page in your dashboard:

  • Bronze: Entry tier — basic listing with core profile and contact information.
  • Silver: Expanded media allowance and improved marketplace visibility.
  • Gold: Priority placement in search results — the recommended tier for active providers.
  • Platinum: Top tier — full feature set with maximum media limits and dedicated support.

Subscription Upgrades:

You can upgrade your subscription at any time. When upgrading:

  • The difference between plans is prorated for the remaining period
  • New features are activated immediately after payment completion
  • Your next renewal date is updated according to the new plan

Subscription Downgrades:

You can downgrade your subscription at the end of your current billing period:

  • You continue to enjoy your current plan features until the end of the paid period
  • No refunds are provided for downgrades
  • The new plan activates automatically at the start of the next billing period

Cancellation and Refunds:

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for previous or current billing periods.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of SJL (including design, logos, text, graphics, and software) are owned by SJL and are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

SJL provides information for guidance purposes only. SJL is not responsible for:

  • The accuracy or completeness of information provided by educational facilities or transport providers
  • The quality or safety of services provided by listed facilities
  • Any losses or damages resulting from reliance on displayed information
  • Any disputes between you and any facility or service provider
  • Service interruption or technical errors

In all cases, SJL's liability shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) during the previous 12 months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SJL harmless from any claims, damages, or losses resulting from:

  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your use of the platform
  • Content you submit
  • Your violation of any third party's rights

13. Account Termination

You can terminate your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without prior notice in case of:

  • Violation of these terms
  • Providing false information
  • Fraudulent or illegal behavior
  • Misuse of the platform

14. Service Availability

We strive to provide the service around the clock, but we do not guarantee this. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

15. Reporting Violations

If you encounter any content that violates these terms, raises child safety concerns, or involves illegal activity, please report it immediately via:

We treat all reports confidentially and take necessary action within 24 hours.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

17. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These terms represent the complete agreement between you and SJL
  • Severability: If any provision becomes invalid, the other provisions remain in effect
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver
  • No Agency: These terms do not create any agency or partnership relationship

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In case of any dispute, we encourage you to contact us first to attempt amicable resolution. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
